How does Solution Focused Hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy is used to treat a variety of Emotional, Nervous and Psychological problems in a gentle and natural way. As a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and using the naturally relaxed state of mind, I assist you in reaching your full potential and enable you to change a habit or behavioural pattern.
In fact, you will probably already be aware of this form of trance state. We actually all go into this state many times a day. “Driving the car to your destination, when suddenly you realise you’re already there”. This is simply a state of what we call Altered Focused Attention, a bit like daydreaming.
With Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, we look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to visit us (the problem). The approach focuses on the present and future and not on the past. The Solution Focused approach is to ask the client to consider their preferred future, for instance, what would be better if the problem had improved? What would have changed? This enables the client’s possible solutions to become more obvious and gives the client a goal to work towards.
You remain awake and in control at all times and it is a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy helps you to gain fresh attitudes and belief about yourself and your life, giving you a sustainable sense of wellbeing, control and happiness.
Together through very simple guided relaxation techniques, you can reach the levels of relaxation which help your subconscious mind to become more receptive to beneficial suggestions, this promotes the positive changes you wish to achieve.
